Void This is the frame without a photo.
This is a marriage with a no.
This is a smile with false pretence
Because I told you so.
There is no baby in the womb,
There is no corpse inside the tomb
There is the sun that’s blazing bright
While the sky’s dark in gloom.
I’m a road that never ends,
I’m an amputated pair of hands
I’m the winner that succeeds
By failing all my plans.
A soul that’s already numb
A heart that feels no pain
Every time I’m convinced I’m fine
That time passes again
Laughter First time in my life
I hear you laugh heartily,
And I know, for sure,
It isn’t because of me.
Clutching your stomach
Rolling in your seat
She’s achieved one
Incredible feat
Maybe you know it,
I certainly do.
She’s a better friend
Than me to you.

Category
Circle the me out
Cross out the one
That doesnt belong,
The trend doesnt allow
for that one other song.
It's you against them
Them compared to you,
Differences between their
knowledge and what
you actually knew.
Puppets and puppeteers
Lies and truth,
follower and leader
ground and roof.
The difference is the
Marginalized.

Robot
You exist for the purpose
to fulfill other's needs.
Without you they won't cry,
Neither will they bleed.
You're not a friend,
Neither are you a foe.
Just be there, be quiet
And do as you're told.
They won't miss you,
Just cause you're not there.
But without you they can't win,
And that's why they care.
A knight as a person,
An airplane as a stool,
Concrete for eating,
Faeces for drool.
You functioned to exist thus far,
then you know you're not who you are.

Castle
I wonder how it’ll feel
Walking past the castle next year
Locked out, forgotten the password
Looking inside from here.
Maybe I’ll hide under my hood
And ride on, for I have no sword,
Three stories, a family, love;
I left on my own accord.
The corner on the round table,
Was never meant to be,
Shave off the edge,
And the team will be free.
The guts to face a dragon,
The soul to do their best
The passion to commit arson,
You’ll be fine with the rest.

Retrenchment
Rusty metal clanged its last
As he entered the room
A sword was drawn from the scabbard,
By he who looked so haggard.
No longer called sir,
His heart did stir.
Shield and sword he left on the mat with
8 pieces of armor and
12 drops of tears,
Wars and hardships are over,
There’re only goodbyes.
They’ll do better without him.
He left the castle which
Reached three stories high –
No longer his home
He was no longer a knight.

Distancing Technique
Actress, you come on stage.
Ignore the character,
Speak to the world.
Plunge my mind into a whirl.
Actress, you stand amidst
Cold metal and mechanics,
Contrast for the world
Who’s attention you seek.
Actress, it’s your choice,
To let no one else understand,
Lock the key to your heart
And hold it in your hand.
Let them laugh at your demise,
They’ll never sympathise,
Barriers to entry,
Doors close towards me.

Concrete Side by side,
Foot by foot,
We walked on…
Till you turned
Walked away
And never
Once looked back.

Catharsis
who the fuck are you?
i dont know you anymore.
you've changed beyond recognition
so much for love forevermore.
Breath
They expected her to live,
Who wouldn’t?
Medusa’s mask with ten
Snake heads sprouting,
Into metallic boxes which now
Could give life
Why would she need ten tubes?
One by one, they cut away.
Taking advantage, one down,
Drifting, another gone,
Betrayal, it snapped half,
Pain, it went on…
She stopped breathing.
Four tubes were still there.
She was no sadist, living on wouldn't be her choice.

Nerd Love
You're the constant that
Satisfies all my unknowns.
The magical feeling, in Newtons
A force that, in all
That caused the Berlin Wall to fall.
You're nowhere near a flat,
Neither are you a sharp,
It's a lovely melody,
Like a neatly drawn parabolic arc.
You'd stop my Venice from sinking,
The drop that makes my titration complete.
It's a compass that gives me direction
On the geographical map sheet.
Adjectives and verbs fail me,
Sentences aren't supposed to be.
Still, I'll write poem and prose and
Direct plays to prove it’s true,
My DNA will never be complete
Without the presence of U*
U – Uracil in mRNA
Paradise Island
I’ve finally seen paradise,
It’s beautiful –
Warm waves of love
Tress of the best support
Four years of shelter and protection
Whenever it got too hot
But I’m tired of swimming,
A wave pushes me back,
It came from the island.
Silence…
I drift on debris
Away…
Goodbye paradise…
Probably forever.

Violin
I could never understand
How the strings broke,
But they did, with each strike,
With each stride I took.
Stubborn, I continued playing,
Strings gone, into the bone,
The same façade of a light hearted tone.
A sharp blade makes a tune so
Painfully human.
