Magic's Compass
Babies are have cries and tears
Toddlers utter parent's names
But once a newborn becomes a child
Things arent easily the same.
They learnt the magic spells,
See the effect they want;
Those special words are powerful,
Again and again they chant.
But as the man or woman emerges
From deep within their souls,
The magic is soon forgotten,
Ignored like the next green ghoul.
Pride and envy replace;
Dark incantations with no use-
The wonders once known
Were thus subjected to abuse.
The Gods sigh on man;
Stars jump from the sky-
The falsified tones of voice
Were teaching over the cries.
Say "please", say "sorry"
While they live the opposite story.
